Safe room-sharing for the first 6–12 months.

5 min read

Safe sleep setup

AAP recommends room-sharing without bed-sharing for at least the first 6 months.

Bassinet within arm's reach, firm flat surface, fitted sheet only — no blankets, bumpers, pillows, or stuffed animals.

Room temperature 68–72°F. Sleep sack instead of loose blanket.

Practical adjustments

Move nightstand items into a drawer — newborn arms flail.

Phone charger + dim red book light bedside for night feeds.

Keep a water bottle, snacks, peri bottle, and burp cloths within reach.

Diapering caddy with diapers, wipes, change of pajamas (for baby AND you).

Educational content for prototype use. Always confirm health-related decisions with a qualified medical professional.
